Be Diversity Basics training is a great starting point for anyone who is interested in having conversations about discrimination and bias.  This training will give participants an opportunity to explore their own identities, identities of each other and how these diversities can impact our working relationships and environments.

  • Stereotypes
  • Microaggressions
  • Levels of diversity
  • Impacts of discrimination
  • Tools and best practices to interrupt discrimination

II. Be Diversity in Action

Be Diversity in Action is a natural follow-up to Be Diversity Basics.  It explores next steps in having that knowledge about bias and impact.  Participants will have an opportunity to learn, explore and practice ways to interrupt bias and discrimination in their communities.

  • Communication styles
  • Implementation of practices
  • Identifying instances of bias and addressing them with healthy communication

III. Be Diversity Sustainability

Be Diversity Sustainability combines the efforts of Be Diversity Basics and Be Diversity In Action to address changes needed and implement on a policy and procedural level.

Topics Include:

  • Coaching
  • Policy evaluation and assessment
  • Policy creation
  • Policy writing
  • Policy editing
  • Policy implementation
  • Policy Review
